On October 1, 2026, the International University of Kyrgyzstan hosted the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the International University of Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz Republic, and the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” (MPEI), Russian Federation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in the fields of higher education, science, and technology, as well as opportunities for implementing joint educational and research projects. Particular attention was paid to the development of academic mobility, the exchange of experience and educational resources, cooperation between faculty members and students, and prospects for further expanding inter-university cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop their partnership and implement joint educational and research initiatives.
The signing of the Cooperation Agreement marked an important step toward strengthening international cooperation and creating new opportunities for students and faculty members of both universities.
